Biography

Lynda van Dreumel, PhD, O.T. Reg (Ont) is a registered Occupational Therapist with over two decades of experience in the healthcare system.  Her research interests explore health professional regulatory models and their influence on interprofessional care in health systems, leadership in health systems, and implementation of quality improvement initiatives.

Dr. van Dreumel's professional career has spanned clinical, administrative, and policy-making roles across various healthcare sectors.  Her teaching approach involves making healthcare policy and management concepts meaningful to students by drawing upon relevant examples from her clinical and professional experiences and providing impactful experiential learning opportunities.  Two of Dr. van Dreumel's recent pedagogical projects (PATHSEnvision YU) involved developing curricular resources to support students in successful transition into undergraduate studies and then onwards to their next academic or career path.

Dr. van Dreumel is a Certified Health Executive with the Canadian College of Health Leaders (CCHL) and currently holds the Faculty of Health Distinguished Fellowship in Learning and Teaching Excellence (FLTE) 2024 - 2027.
