Biography
Irfan started his journey in health care as a home care worker. For six years, he had the privilege to care for individuals with physical and emotional needs and learned immensely from that experience. As an registered nurse working with Nursing Resource Team (NRT) at University Health Network, Irfan developed strong clinical foundation in the complex acute care of patients. Through the NRT, he worked in numerous high acuity areas including General Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Urology, Oncology, Transplant, etc. During this time, he also worked at Bridgepoint Health, a rehabilitation institute. To expose himself to other specialties, Irfan joined SRT and Carecore Staffing Agency and gained experience in every GTA hospital. His work has given him a broader knowledge base and enhanced his ability to implement Evidence-Based Practices (EBP) to improve care outcomes, promote healthy work environments, and ensure excellence in care and service delivery for staff and nursing students.
